Music Group
The Music Group is open to all Shed Members. You can either bring along a track to play (CD or by mobile app preferred) or just come along and listen to the selections of others. We have a monthly theme, and all types of music are welcome. The Club meets on a monthly basis throughout the year – normally the first Wednesday in the month and starting as soon as possible after 9.30 in the room at the back of the bar near the pool table. There is no additional charge other than the usual £2 Shed sub payable in the social room. We also run a quarterly Music Quiz in the same room after four sessions each year, from 12 - 2, with lunch or snacks available from the bar.

April 1st is of course All Fools Day, but there were no fools choosing the music at our session, as we had some real crackers. We as usual had some sings that scored highly with some and poorly with others, but two songs clearly stood out in the scoring and shared the top spot on the day.
It’s wonderful to see the range of music being played, this time covering the period from 1956 to 2013. The comments are always interesting to hear too. As we all know each other well by now, we are not afraid to call out what we don’t like, but it takes a good song to get everyone’s vote.
The top five tunes were:

2nd “Gwahoddiad” by The Vauxhall Male Voice Choir, picked by Barrie, on 7.25

5th “’S.O.S” by Abba, picked by Andy, on 7.20
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday May 6th, when the theme will be “A Special Memory”. Make sure you are there by 9.30 so we can make a good early start.
We always have a good time and lots of good-natured chat, so if you enjoy music of any kind why not come along? You don't even have to bring along something to play if you don't want to, as you are more than welcome to just come and listen to our many and varied selections.
